He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Komatz and Stephanie Komatz (Kravanya); his siblings, Ann Komatz Buchanan, Rose Owsianny-Kramer, Ernest Komatz (Avis), Joseph Komatz (MaryLou), Matthew Komatz Jr. (Kathleen) and Mary Louise Waller (Marvin); and his son-in-law Todd Thede.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Marie Komatz of Friendship, Wisconsin; his daughters, Penny Mamerow (Jeffrey) of Colgate and Patti Thede of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; and his grandsons, Alan Jeffrey Mamerow and Jackson Buchanan Thede. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
