Barbara A. Snow Obituary
Of Germantown. Barbara (nee Ottensman) was born on February 1, 1937 in Escanaba, Michigan and celebrated 85 years of life. She passed away peacefully on October 26, 2022.
Barbara was married to the love of her life (twice), Robert who preceded her in death. Barb is survived by her sister, Mary (Ken Meyer): and by her three sons, Robert (Julie), Christopher (Debbie), and David (Julie). She will be fondly remembered by her 7 grandkids and 3 great-grandchildren.
Barbara enjoyed her career as a secretary for the Village of Brown Deer Police Department and Clerk of Municipal Court. She especially loved her family time spent at the cabin she and Bob and the boys and their families built in Tomahawk, WI. Barb and Bob also founded and supported Citizen Advocates, a support group that championed the rights of nursing home residents and their families in Wisconsin for many years. Barbara cherished the many years of volunteer service she contributed at senior living facilities in the West Bend area. Barb was rumored to have played a game of cribbage or two with her friend, Stella. Stella was also responsible for introducing Barb to her four legged buddy Louie. Barb and Louie were great walking buddies up to the last couple years of her life.
The family would like to acknowledge the attention and wonderful care and support provided by staff to Barb while in assisted care at Dickson Hollow Senior Facility in Menomonee Falls, and in memory care at Fairway Knoll Senior Facility in Germantown.
Our family has decided to plan and coordinate a celebration of Barbara's life and a mass for family and friends at a later date to be determined.
