Oliver E. Schowalter Obituary

Of Germantown. Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 12, 2023, at the age of 81 years old. Beloved husband of the late Shirley for 56 years. Loving father of Sandy (Mike) Hug and Scott (Cassy) Schowalter. Dear grandpa of Ryan Hug (Sly), Curtis (Brittany) Hug and Nikki Hug (Adam); Derek (Sammy) Schowalter, Laura Van Aaken (Cory), Brandon Schowalter and Sarah Schowalter. Dear great grandpa of Oliver and Mila Hug; Orlan, Benjamin, Edwin and Enzo Schowalter; Xander, Isabella, Logan Schowalter; and Myah and Alayna Schowalter. Dear brother of David (Helen) Schowalter, Helen (the late Dale) Schmidt, the late Howard (Kay) Schowalter. Dear brother-in-law of Betty (the late Jerry) Fuller. Further survived and will be dearly missed by other who also loved him.

Oliver was on the board and active member of the Germantown Historical Society, member of the Antique Power Reunion and faithful member of Our Saviour's United Church of Christ in Germantown. He loved drawing and collecting things, especially Oliver tractors and 1/64 scale toys to display for kids of all ages enjoyment. He never stopped playing, no matter what. Ollie also liked to take nothing and make it something special to give and share with anyone and everyone he met and knew.

Visitation on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, N84 W 17937 Menomonee Ave in Menomonee Falls from 10AM until time of the Funeral Service at 12 Noon, followed by a light lunch and burial at Our Saviour's U.C.C. Cemetery in Dheinsville by 3PM. (Please meet at Cemetery). Ollie's family would like to thank all the staff and doctors at Aurora Grafton Hospital for their tender loving care.
