Richard E. Mahnke Obituary

Of Germantown, passed peacefully on March 22, 2023, at the age of 92 years. Richard was born in Milwaukee on June 29, 1930, a son of Raymond and Leona (nee Baerman) Mahnke. During his working years, Richard held various positions in Banking. He married the love of his life, Jean Wilterdink on September 30, 1950. An avid sports fan, Richard loved being outdoors, hunting, skiing, golfing, and spending time with his family and friends. Richard proudly served his country as a United States Marines.

Richard will be dearly missed by his wife of 72 years, Jean Mahnke; daughters, Jill (Richard) Kurimsky and Janis East; grandchildren, Emily (Brian) Tam and Evan East; great-grandchildren, Ella and Graydon Tam; and brother, Glenn Mahnke. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Joe East; parents; brother, Wayne Mahnke; and sisters-in-law, Marie and Shirley Mahnke.

Private services for Richard will be held at a later date.
