He is survived by: his close friend Diane Robertson (Indy); his sons, Gerald (Bridget) and Ron Jr.; his stepchildren, Jesse Steele and Juliane Steele; his sister Carol Lynne Melo (Victor); his sibling's children, Emily Cauthen (John) and Alexander Melo (Michele); his granddaughters, Meghan, Katelyn, Lauren, Aimee and Adelaide; and his pets, Jazzdup and Rollie. He is also survived by grandnephew and grandniece, several cousins.
