He was predeceased by: his parents, Gwynne Smith and Alice Smith (Meles); his wife Barbara Meyer of Wanderer's Rest Cemetery; and his sisters, Jean Gandt and Gail MacSwain.
He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Smith and Darrell Smith; his grandsons, Andrew Smith and Alex Smith; and his sister Nancy Smith. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
