Helen will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Helen by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Helen is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Helen’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Boesen and Maude Boesen (Lehr); and her grandson Alan. She is survived by: her husband David Schowalter; her sons, David, Steve and Jeffrey; and her siblings, John Boesen (Kay) and Betty Klumb. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tabor United Methodist Church (120 W Main St, Gillett, WI 54124). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
