He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Kniess and Esther Kniess (Luedtke); his wife Julia "Judi" Kniess; his son Kirby Kniess; his siblings, LaBelle Klug (Dave), Elizabeth Jahns (Edward "Buddy") and Everett Kniess (Yvonne); and his son-in-law Craig Lange.
He is survived by: his children, Kitty Lange, Kathleen Krzanowski (Darrell), Kriss Kniess and Kandy Walker of Gleason; his grandson Daniel S. Kniess (Liz); his great grandchildren, Callyn and Delaney; his grandchildren, Tasha Kniess and Derek Krzanowski (Sabrina); his great grandchildren, Christopher, Kaitlynn (Brandon), Aiden, Bryce, Austin, Bella, Piper and Halle; his grandchild Jesse Krzanowski; his great grandchildren, Dakota and Bridgett; his great great grandchild Liana; his brother Ervester Kniess; and his sister-in-law Betty Derogatis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
