She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter McConnell and Luella McConnell (Winters); her husband LaVerne Arthur Zimmerman; her sister Marlene Pewe (Wayne); her nephew Mark Pewe; her parents-in-law, Arthur and Verna Zimmerman; her sisters-in-law, Beverly Butts and Jean Zimmerman; and her nieces, Deanne Jorgenson and Heidi Wagner.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Zimmerman (Mary) of Bark River, MI, Stacy Kowalkowski (Mike) of Cedarburg, WI and Carrie Headley (Ryan) of McFarland, WI; her grandchildren, Michael Kowalkowski (Traci), Mark Kowalkowski (Katie), Kim Young (Josh), Laura Brown (Beau), Amanda Hoffman, Melissa Bard (Brandon), Mallory Zimmerman (Sam), Matthew Zimmerman (Abby), Olivia Headley and McKenna Headley; her great grandchildren, Kenzie Bard, Brody Brown, Keegan Young, Madison Kowalkowski, Logan Kowalkowski, Andrew Kowalkowski, Austyn Bard, Lena Hoffman and Mason Bard; her sister Judy Jorgenson (Rolyn); and her brothers-in-law, Roger Zimmerman, Roger Butts and Eldon Zimmerman (Sandra). She is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials be directed to the family, c/o Steve Zimmerman, and a scholarship will be established in Joanne's name at a later date.
