He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Mertz (Hill) and Kenneth M. Mertz; and his parents-in-law, Janice and Richard Parish. He is survived by: his wife Pam Parish; his children, Luke Mertz (Lindsay) and Kendra Rogers (Chris); his grandchildren, Maelyn, Joselyn, Carmen Mertz and Oliver Rogers; his sisters, Sunnie Lamppa (Steve) and Terriann Mertz; and his siblings-in-law, Renee and Gary Rivord. He is also survived by his aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins.
A masonic service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 7:00 AM at the Downs Life Celebration Center (1902 N 34th St, Superior, WI 54880). Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (2022 E 2nd St, Superior, WI 54880).
If desired, memorials in Ken's name can be made to Zion Lutheran Church or the Humane Society of Douglas County.
