He is survived by: his grandchildren, Blake and Reese; his wife Bonnie; his children, Angela Gruber (Nate) and Alex Kirst; his granddaughter Sadie Gruber; and his siblings, Charlene Karrels (Mike), Greg Kirst (Teri), Kevin Kirst (Connie), Randy Kirst (Charisse), Mike Kirst, Mary Kirst and Tim Kirst (Wendy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
