He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael and Florence; his parents-in-law, Bill Kemnitz (Beatric) and Dolores Wise (Russ); his siblings, Mike, Jim, Bob, David, Larry, Bev Mire and Beth Willkomm; and his siblings-in-law, Jane, Karla, Yvonne, Ann Cudahy, Emil Mire and Ronnie Blada.

He is survived by: his wife Julie Kemnitz; his daughter Gadrieal; his grandson Gavin Retzlaff; his siblings, Phillip and Evelyn Blada; and his siblings-in-law, Buddy Willkomm (Craig Cudahy), Janice, Christine and Mary. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
