He is survived by : his children, Jeanne Lee (Duane), Michael Chell (Donna), Bruce Chell (Tammy), Jeffrey Chell (Julie) and David Chell (Ellen). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; along with other family, friends and neighbors.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the First Baptist Church of Falun.
