He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his children, Scott Buchanan (Karen), Beth Meyer and Max Eng (Carole); his stepchildren, Barry Norenberg (Colleen), Roxane Brock (Van) and Teresa Eastin (Gregg); his grandchildren, Sarah Caldwell (Dave), Rachel Yonak (Josh), Devin Meyer (Trent), Mandy Friendshuh (Drew), Damion Meyer (Noelle), Erin Stachowicz (Chad), Scotty Buchanan, Ethan Eng (Heather) and Austyn Bosman (Justin); his stepgrandchildren, Chaz Norenberg (Mary), Olivia Brock, Maddy Eastin, Joshua Eastin and Jonah Eastin; and his great grandchildren, Emmah, Alexah, Mason, Izzy, Roger, Will, Landon, Gigi, Easton, Finley, Oliver, Wyatt, Beckett, Tarek, Stella, Camryn, Owen, Vaughn, Crosby, Willa, Jax, Grant, Quinn, Ayda and Milo.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Hope Lutheran Church (813 N Robert St, Grantsburg, WI 54840). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Rice Lake Cemetery. Whether attending in person or, post-COVID watching services from the comfort of his recliner, George's faith was unwavering and a source of strength for him.
