He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McDonald and Helen McDonald (Short); and his sister Joan Moore. He is survived by: his wife Janet Gille (Gille); his children, Sheila Probert (Rick) of Evansville, Rick McDonald (Lori) of Gratiot, Dave McDonald (Carmen) of Darlington and Marla McDonald (Doug Hesseltine Jr.) of Des Moines, Iowa; and his siblings, Irene Graham (Billy), Jerry Cullen, Laureen Donahoe (Tom), Lorraine Bartels (Jerry) and Johnny McDonald (Carmen). He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two step great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the CDT St. Joseph's Catholic Church (206 E Harriet St, Darlington, WI 53530). Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (5685 Main St, Gratiot, WI 53541).
