He was predeceased by: his parents, Steven C. Helms and Deborah A. Helms (Eick); and his grandparents, Marcella and Norman Helms. He is survived by: his wife Kari Lambert; his children, Lennon, Marley, Rex and Maliah; his siblings, Kellie Ruedinger (Dennis) and Corey Helms (Kristin); his brothers-in-law, Wade Lambert (Kim) and Curt Lambert; his parents-in-law, Dick and Jill Lambert; and his nieces and nephews, Preston, Delaney, Albee, Madelyn, Kyler, McKenna, Emily and Grayson.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Brad's name.
