He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Ann Boucher (Van Ark) and Eugene Anthony Van Ark; his former wife Debra Heckendorf; his sister-in-law Lois VanArk; and his pets, Bone and Pumpkin.

He is survived by: his brother Neil Van Ark; his grandchildren, Melissa and Micole (family: Larry); his godson Scott; his children, Shannon Van Ark, Heather (George Powless), Jason (Stacy Bunnell), Nicholas Van Ark and Christina (Mauro Guzman); his former wife Bev Bunnell; his pet Ginger; his grandchildren, Anthony Cornelius, Mitchel and Amber Cornelius; his great grandchild Marissa Cornelius; his grandchildren, Zane, Ana Statz, Erin, Joey Palomaki, Marcos Saldana, Santino and Victoria Saldana; his great grandchildren, Maya and Joey Sierra; Mitchell Powless, Kayla Powless, Kassandra Powless and Chad Manthei. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
