David left this world on February 13, 2026 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Routhieaux and Evelyn Routhieaux (Hussin); his stepmother Glynis Frechette; his brothers-in-law, Doug, Fran and Wayne Jirovetz; and his uncle Wayne Schaut.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Jirovetz; his siblings, Todd Frechette and Kim (Ken Woelfel); his aunt Judi Schaut; and his siblings-in-law, Sue Schumacher, Sally Lucas (Vic), Pat Jirovetz, Wendy Johnson (Dana), Mary Jirovetz, Lori Van Dalen (Jeff), Lynne Jirovetz, Jackie John, Chris Jirovetz, Bob Jirovetz and Sharon Jirovetz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, Godchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund is being established for future teachers.
