He was predeceased by: his father Clarence Massey; and his brother Donald Massey. He is survived by: his children, Annette Kozicke (David, Sr.), Scott Massey (Tina) and Green Bay; his grandchildren, John Kozicke (Rachel), David Kozicke, Jr., Dymond Sobiesczyk (Samuel, II) and Xavier Massey (Chantell); his great grandchildren, Sosolia, Allison, Lakota, Rylea Sobiesczyk, Zayne, Irabell Kozicke, Jackson and Elijah Kozicke; his brother Russell Massey (Darlene); his sister-in-law Helen Massey; and his foster daughter Sue Noel. He is also survived by family; along with many other nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials in David's name may be sent to the Friends of Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary, Inc., or the Green Bay Humane Society.
