He is survived by: his wife Sharon Felix Dernbach; his children, Janice Johnson (Tom), James "Jim" Pullen (Deb Zanoni), Donna King (Larry) and Eric Dernbach (Mary Lynn); his grandchildren, Brian Johnson, Stephanie Iodence (Jacob), Carly Bortmess (Brian), Sam King, Cody Clark and Mikayla Clark; his great grandchildren, Evan, Leighton, Haiden and Collins; and his brother Gerald "Jerry" Pullen (Rosie).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First United Methodist Church and Homeless Ministry of St. Johns.
