He was predeceased by: his wife Dolores "Laurie" Ullmer; his parents, William Rettmann and Clara Rettmann; and his brothers, William, Larry and Roy.
He is survived by: his children, Denise Phillips (Pat), Donna Corbisier (Chris) and Doug Rettmann (Trisha); his grandchildren, Lori Phillips (Jason Entringer), Lisa Phillips, Loni Santy (Jason), Jessica Kaufman (David) and Brian Rettmann (Mercedez); his great grandchildren, Arizona, Marcus (Alison), Charles, Henrik, Oliver, Vincent and Vivienne; his sister-in-law Charlene Maus (Gary); and his friend Lynn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and further relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Don's memory to the organizations he committed his life to: Sisters of St. Frances of the Holy Cross, Sisters of Our Lady of Charity, NEW Community Shelter and/or charity of choice.
