She was predeceased by: her parents, George Smits and Lavina Smits (Bildings); her husband Arthur "Archie" Winiecki; and her siblings, Mathias, Martin Smits, Gordy Smits (Audrey), Carl Smits (Eleanore), George Smits Jr., Ruth Smits, Florence Kowaleski (Donald) and Rosemary Francois (Robert).
She is survived by: her nephews, Greg Winiecki (Cindy), Ken Francois (Karen) and Ted Francois (Mary); her great-nephew Archie; Karissa. She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of floral expressions a memorial fund has been established in Donna's name.
