He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Axelson and Mary Axelson (Konwinski); his son Ronald; his brothers, Ward and Bruce; his brother-in-law Floyd Brekke; and his nephews, Tim and Tony.
He is survived by: his wife Arlene; his children, Russell of Melbourne, FL and Valerie Seidl (Mike); his grandchildren, Amber, Ashley, Brandon and Jessica; his great grandchildren, Austin, Aubrey, Carter and Caleb; his sisters, Patricia (Frank) and Donna; his brother-in-law Charles Lindstrom; and his caregivers, Kim, Sara, Carol and Tracey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
