He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Lucia and Madge Lucia (Campbell); his sister Michele Philips; his daughter Diana Hallum; and his granddaughter Amanda Hallum.

He is survived by: his children, Erik Lucia (Cyndi) of Luxemburg, Lauren Oldenburg (David) of Green Bay and Tamra Lucia (Karl Nelson); his grandchildren, William Hallum, Harry Hallum, Graham Oldenburg and Nigel Oldenburg; and his sister Lucia of Madison. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
