He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank LaFave and Anna LaFave (Marvin); his parents-in-law, Leonard and Margaret Guralski; his siblings, Elsie Lobermeier, Betty Frodl, Ray and Robert LaFave; and his brother-in-law Perry Guralski.

He is survived by: his wife Arlene LaFave; his daughters, Kim Frisque (Carl) and Krista Zenner (Jeff); his grandchildren, Amber Jaeger, Laura Wilmot (Nick), Carlene LaPlant (Jordan) and Brennen Frisque (Morgan); and his great grandchildren, Beckett and Brooks LaPlant.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be donated to Alzheimer's Assoc. or St. John the Baptist Parish.
