He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Pay and Beatrice M. Van Pay (Denis); his brother Richard Van Pay; his sister-in-law Janet Van Pay; his son-in-law Brian Dorner; his in-laws, William and Henrietta Lavrenz; and his niece Amy Jo Van Pay.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Lavrenz; his children, Kipp Van Pay, Kim Dorner, Kris Van Pay (Trish) and Kelly DeGrave (Kerry); his grandchildren, Mallory Mertens (Josh), Courtney Dorner, Kyle (Meg), Kendalyn DeGrave (Steve), Kearstyn, Kolten, Kash DeGrave and Melissa Rollin (Jason); his great grandchildren, Lance, Liviana, Logan, Kendan, Westin, Wrenlyn, Jett, Evan and Alaina; and his siblings, Cyril, Jim (Janet), Leroy (Bonnie), John (Judy), Ken (Joann), Linda Soquet (John) and Karen Matz. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy a Memorial Fund has been established in his name.
