He was predeceased by: his parents, Henning Swanson and Catherine Swanson; his wife Anna Mae Swanson; his daughter Donna Mae Robinson; and his siblings, Gerald, Ernest "Ernie" Swanson, Arthur "Archie" Swanson, Florence Cox, Grace Hughes, Loretta Howard and Gloria Hoy.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Ann Bjorklund (Yvo Boers), Allouez, Enschede, Steve Swanson (Donna), Linda Viall (Jim), Marilyn Dahlen (Steve), Lisa Richardson (Josh), David Swanson (Renee), Green Bay and Rich Swanson (Candice); and his brothers, Alfred Swanson (Jeannine) and Richard "Dickie" Swanson (Betty). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
