He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Thiry and Lena Thiry (LaCrosse); his children, Scott Thiry and Dawn Thiry; his grandchildren, Grant Thiry and Karlie Aubrey; his siblings, Lorraine Nellis (Edsel), Ernestine Delebreau (Joe), Marvin Thiry (Beatrice), Vernon Thiry (Armela) and Mary Boucher (Bernie); and his brothers-in-law, Leland Gilson, Duane Hillsberg, Donald Metoxen, Jeff Routhieaux, Gerald Hallada (Sherry), Johnny Hallada and Jim Hallada (Mary Therese).
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Hallada; his children, Lynn Jolly (David), Gail Edges (Randy), Kevin Thiry, Brenda Thiry and Pamela Thiry; his grandchildren, Nicole Jolly (Eric Stogner), Ryan Jolly (Jennifer), Rachel Edges, Amanda Edges (Josh Kerian), Chantell Konkle (Alex), Andrew Wachowski (Mya), Shaun Wachowski (Ashley), Laura Goldsborough, Paige Goldsborough, Miranda Davis, Brandon Davis (Julia) and Devin Zimmerman (Melanie Nowak); his siblings, Carol Gilson, Melvin Thiry (Jackie), Beverly Hillsberg, Barbara Metoxen and Rose Routhieaux; and his brother-in-law Wayne Hallada (Lorey). He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
