He was predeceased by: his parents, Rodney Westerfeld and Judith Westerfeld (Houren). He is survived by: his wife Tammy Hodgins; his daughter Morgan Lee Westerfeld (Nathan Bopray); his brother Scott Westerfeld; his mother-in-law Darlene Hodgins; and his extended family, Perry Bresemann (Linda), Jon Bresemann (Kari), Brian Bresemann (Stephanie), Robin Jolly (Bill), Brian Jolly (Jonelle), Kevin Jolly, Chad Hodgins (Patty), Tina Cappelle and Adam Cappelle.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
