He was predeceased by: his brother Donald; his brothers-in-law, James Zangl and James Rowley; and his parents, Florence Kroes and Paul Kroes.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo; his children, Anthony Kroes (Tara) and Wendy Fuller (Bob); his grandchildren, C. J. Thiesfeldt, Jacob, Devon, Derek Fuller, Nick and Noah Vander Loop; his sister Elizabeth Rowley; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Zangl, Marilyn Zangl and Janice Zangl. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
