He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincent Diederich and Josephine Diederich (Muraski); his son Jeffrey Diederich; his granddaughter Jackie Diederich; his siblings, James Diederich and Linda Blaser; his siblings-in-law, Barbara Calewarts, Darlene Verhaagh and Gerald Verhaagh; and his parents-in-law, William and Henrietta Verhaagh.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Verhaagh; his children, Jane (Dan) and Joseph; his siblings, Richard and Donna; his siblings-in-law, Bill Verhaagh (Connie), Ronald Verhaagh (Karen), Clyde Verhaagh (Marlene), Mary Lou Verhaagh, Ray Verhaagh, Joyce McFadden (Tom) and Daniel Calewarts; and his nephews, Tim Verhaagh and Chuck Wasielewski. He is also survived by five grandchildren all of whom he loved dearly; great-grandchildren.
