He was predeceased by: his parents, George Challe and Clara Challe (Schober); his daughter Catherine Mary Challe; his grandparents, Louis and Emma Schober; and his sister Mary Lou Spang.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Murphy; his sons, John J. Challe (Laurie), Dennis Challe (Marie), Patrick Challe (Teresa), Paul Challe (Karen), Tom Challe (Nancy) and Christopher Challe (Anne); and his friends, Peter and Baird Street. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Parish.
