He was predeceased by: his parents, Urban Schumacher and Clara Schumacher (Schauer); and his siblings, Peter Schumacher, Mary Verbeten, Rev. Paul Schumacher, Sr., Urban Schumacher (Ann), Dr. John and Clare Zakowski.
He is survived by: his wife Kay; his daughters, Rachel Kapuschansky (Scott) and Amy Kawa (Jeff); his grandchildren, Katherine "KC", Alivia, Madeleine Kapuschansky and Teddy Kawa; his siblings-in-law, Judy Schumacher and Don Zakowski; and his goddaughter Tricia MacDonald (Kay). He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests friends and family consider making memorial contributions to Hands & Hearts with Haiti, St. John's Shelter, or Paul's Pantry.
