She was predeceased by: her father C. H. "Herb" Simpson; her husband Edward Whitlock; her granddaughter Erin Malmberg; her brothers, William Simpson and Herbert Simpson; and her sisters-in-law, Joyce Simpson-Fawcett and Joyce Ostrand (Woelfel).
She is survived by: her daughters, Jean Whitlock and Lisa Malmberg (Dave); her grandchildren, Kasey Malmberg (Matthew Deneys) and Hannah Malmberg; her great grandchild Mason Deneys; and her friend Joy Christensen. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the YWCA in Martha's memory.
