He was predeceased by: his parents, Duane Simons and Jacqueline Ann Carlson (Byron); his siblings, Timothy Carlson, Christine Carlson, Terry Santeramo and Robert Santeramo; and his cousin Brenda Byron Janke.
He is survived by: his wife Patrice "Pepper" Runke Carlson; his pets, Vivian and Lucy; his siblings, Laurie Kess (Paul), Beth Haasl (Andy), David Carlson (Pam), William Santeramo, David Simons, Danny, Bruce, Jimmy and Frank; his cousins, Kraig Byron (Kathy) and Lance Byron (Alexia); and his grandchildren, Cole, Brice, Stevie, Adam, Vic, Brandon, Nate, Evan, Sam, Brian, Ida, Claire and Dana. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Michael's name.
