He was predeceased by: his parents, Sigurd Christiansen and Evelyn Christiansen (McDermid); his parents-in-law, Robert and Shirley Marcey; his brothers, Walter "Wally" and Dennis Christiansen; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Hilbert, Steve Van Laanen, Marilyn Christiansen and Patricia Kurth (Pat).

He is survived by: his wife Roberta "Bobbie" Christiansen; his sons, Dennis Christiansen, Michael "Mick" Christiansen Jr. (Melanie), Kyle Christiansen and Ned Christiansen; his stepdaughter Andrea Semrau (Dan); his grandchildren, Kayla, Jenna Christiansen, Alex Christiansen (Tori), Samantha Foertsch (David), Jamie Inoue (Riku), Katie Christiansen, Sydney, Devan, Anthony Christiansen, Robert and Alec Semrau; his great grandchildren, Eden, Everly, Ezra Christiansen, Dawson and Bennet Foertsch; his sister Margaret Hilbert; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Pensis (David), Rosanne Van Laanen and Amy Cuene (Chris). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and other family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the American Red Cross in memory of Mike.
