She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Coppens (Hank) and Rose Coppens (Hershman); her husband James McCarthy (Jim); her daughter Brigid Anne McCarthy; her siblings-in-law, John, Paul McCarthy and Mary McCarthy; and her nephew Tommy McCarthy.

She is survived by : her children, James "Jimmer" McCarthy, II (Carrie Canadeo) of Sturgeon Bay, Michael McCarthy of Sturgeon Bay, Kara McCarthy of Green Bay, Dennise McCarthy of Green Bay and Meghan McCarthy of St. Paul, MN; her grandchildren, Miluzka, Zeno McCarthy of Sturgeon Bay and Mizu McCarthy of Milwaukee; her siblings, Jewel O'Brien of DePere and John Coppens (Sue) of Wausau; her sister-in-law Norma McCarthy of Sioux City, IA; and also Miriam McCarthy of Sturgeon Bay. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
