He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Champion and Jean Champion (Strand); and his sister Bonnie Kukkonen. He is survived by: his sisters, Kathy (Pat), Steiger (Tim), Janis (Ron) and Steffen (Holley); his brother-in-law Phil (Nancy) Kukkonen (Kristi); and his close friend Mike Morgan (Wendy).
He could be found volunteering at animal shelters, horse rescues, homeless shelters, assisting with local charity events, or simply lending a helping hand to those in need.
