He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Kulju and Wilma Kulju. He is survived by: his wife Bernice; his children, Kirsten Kulju Gonzalez (Jorge) and Mark (Lori); his grandsons, Jon, Jake, Matt (Chase) and Ben; and his sisters, Mavina Etelamaki (John) of Champion Michigan and Marilyn Brancheau of Republic Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
