She was predeceased by : her parents, Kenneth Lawrence and Iola Lawrence; and her siblings, Larry Lawrence and Mary Verhagen. She is survived by : her children, Jeff Kust (Robin Thorrington), Dan Kust (Elizabeth), Kevin Kust (Nicole Arbes), Stephanie Yeager (Kevin) and Rick Kust (Ashley); her grandchildren, Olivia Kust, Layla Kust, Lennon Koehne, Harlow Kust, River Kust and Emma Yeager; her brother Gary Lawrence (Theresa); her siblings-in-law, Karen Lawrence and Glenn Verhagen; her nephews, Craig, Mike and Todd; her former life partner Tom Kust (Lori); and her significant other Jim Waldo.

In lieu of flowers, Sandy's memory can be honored by making a donation to Unity.
