She was predeceased by: her father James Boehler; and her stepfather Kenneth D. Smith. She is survived by: her son Jerry Vogel; her mother Barbara Smith; her siblings, Sharon Lafferty (Norman), Donna Wise (Steve) and Robert Smith (Tina); her niece Nicole Tesnow (Karl); her nephew Rick Wise; and her goddaughter Amy Dietrich (Josh). She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, along with several great-great nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations made to Happily Ever After animal shelter in Sonia's memory would be greatly appreciated.
