He is survived by: his wife Jan; his children, Lisa Anderson (Lindsay Tafelski) and Rob Schmitt; his grandsons, Dylan, Dawson Anderson and Nathan Schmitt; his siblings, Joan Meyer, Frances Kwitek, Susan Schultz, Rosalie Thielman (David), Michael Schmitt (Bonnie), Patricia Schacht (Dan), Marie Hayes (Rob), Leo Schmitt (Terry), Fred Schmitt, Connie Schmitt and Dennis Schmitt (Patti); and his brother-in-law Jeff VanGrunsven (Char King). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
