He is survived by: his wife Judy Smits (Gegare); his children, Jessie Mayer (Al) of Sheboygan Falls, Eric Smits (Karen) of De Pere and Scott Smits (Jessica) of De Pere; his grandchildren, Shania Evans (Bryce) of Indianapolis, Skyler VanDenack of Sheboygan Falls, Jordan Follett (Danielle) of De Pere, Alayna Smits of De Pere, Dominic Smits (Amber Romanek) of Suamico, Mckayla and Clayton Smits of De Pere; his siblings, Jim Smits (Mary Helen) of Falls Church, VA, Mary Powers of Neenah and Lynda Heuvelmans of De Pere; and his brother-in-law Jim Gegare (Lois) of Kimberly. He is also survived by many other relatives and dear friends.
