He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Treml and LaVerne Treml (Treml); his in-laws, Louis and Terry Pansier; and his sister-in-law Mary Jo Treml.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Pansier; his children, Ashley McCormick (Ben) and Brad Treml (Kari); his granddaughters, Grace and Lyla McCormick; his siblings, Ken Treml (Barb), Mary Kimmeth (Ed), Diane Treml, Mike Treml (Judy), Dan Treml (Sharon) and Dave Treml; and his in-laws, Don Pansier (Mary), Mary Longley (Richard) and Judi Olson (Jack). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, godchildren.
