It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Val Yazzie in Green Bay, Wisconsin, who passed away on July 19, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Val Yazzie to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harrison Cornelius and Diane Cornelius; her daughter Jodi Lynn; and her grandson Christopher John Doud. She is survived by: her husband Joe Chee Yazzie; her children, Jamie LeeAnn Willis (Clinton) and Jerilynn Virginia Doud; her grandchildren, Dakota Kaluhiyo Escamea, Genesis Paige Doud, Evelyn Allaire Willis and Grayson Isaac Willis; her siblings, Vivian Dittel (Pete), Veronica Cornelius Glass, Victoria Cornelius LaFond, Terry Cornelius (Tania) and Harry Cornelius (Pa Ia); her sister-in-law Kitty Pyzel; and her close friends, Maggie Fermanich and Denise Freeman.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Oneida United Methodist Church (N6037 County Rd E, De Pere, WI 54155). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Oneida United Methodist Cemetery (N6037 County Rd E, De Pere, WI 54155).
