He is survived by: his children, Jake Heffernan and Grace Heffernan; his wife Cindy Bartel; his grandchildren, Malichi and Cadence; his sisters, Beth Vlies (Gary) and Becky Kamps (Dave); his in-laws, Loret Thill, Terry, Betty Weiland, Randy, Nancy Meyer, Tom, Debby Umnus, Tim and Anne Bartel; and his close friends, Bob, Merle Trich, Duane, Karla of Georgia and Justen Shadick. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and special cousins.
A memorial fund in Bill's name will be established.
