He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Pantzlaff (Eichhorst); his children, Julie Pantzlaff, Debbie Leick (Jeff), Jim Pantzlaff (Renae) and Tina Miller (Jason); his grandchildren, Brianna Van Eperen (Brett), Marissa Leick (Dillon Lefeber), Mitchell Leick (Dayna Van Egeren), Dustin Pantzlaff (Alex), Rachael Pantzlaff, Molly, Jack and Isaiah Miller; his great grandchild Oliver Van Eperen; his mother-in-law Verona Eichhorst; his brothers, Norman Pantzlaff (Kay), Junior Pantzlaff (Marie) and Don Pantzlaff (Nancy); his brothers-in-law, Gary Haltaufderheide, Jeff Eichhorst, Daniel Eichhorst (Gerri), David Eichhorst (Nancy), Steven Eichhorst, Mark Eichhorst (Donna) and Paul Eichhorst; his grandson Elijah Miller; his father-in-law Melvin Eichhorst; and his siblings-in-law, Roger, Cindy Eichhorst and Michele Eichhorst. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In recognition of his lifelong dedication and contributions to the Polka tradition, Vernon was honored with the Distinguished Service Award from the Wisconsin Polka Hall of Fame on May 20, 2017.
