He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Loppnow and Cora Loppnow (Natzke); his siblings, Marvin Loppnow, Arvilla Kuchenbecker (Marvin), Florence Kuchenbecker (Lloyd), Verna Borchardt (Gil) and Irene Zeamer (Al); and his sister-in-law Jean Loppnow.
He is survived by : his wife Barb Engelbrecht; his children, Gail Bruegge (Dan), Dan Loppnow, Greg Loppnow, Becky Conard (Mike) and Shellie Trettin (Scott); his grandchildren, Brad (Nicki), Brian (Megan), Bethany (Dave), Anna (Zach), Will, Jaiden and Kaleb; his great grandchildren, Mitchell, Trevor, Lilly, Claire, Ben, Cora and Iola; his brother Norm Loppnow; and his brothers-in-law, Edgar Engelbrecht (Harriet) and Ray Engelbrecht. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
