He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter and Margaret; and his daughter-in-law Sue. He is survived by : his wife Evelyn; his sister Jean Holdorf; his children, Jeff (Joan), Randy (Lisa), Gwen Bergsbaken (Bill) and Penny Lehrer; his grandchildren, Loren (Bobbie), Michelle Sargent, Travis, Jeremy, Sean (Cindy), Hannah, Meghan Holschuh (Joe) and Shannon Lowenhagen (Melissa); his caregivers, Christine and Kathy Schmidt; and also, Sandy and Dawn (Tim).
