He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Eunice (Babe), Don Bartels, Victor and Margaret Michels; his aunt Susan Hoppenjan; and his uncle Pat Hennen.
He is survived by: his parents, Michael Michels and Carolyn Michels (Bartels); his wife Laura Halfmann Michels; his daughters, Tyne and Ayla; his pet Spur; his sister Michelle Cali (Justin) of Florida; his siblings' children, Caleb, Jonah, Jacob and Calista Cali; his sister Kirsten of Minnesota; his uncle Steve Bartels (Karen) of Pickett; his aunt Linda Anderson (Roger) of Oshkosh; and his in-laws, Tom, Cathy Halfmann, Kim Wagner (Tim) and Aaron Fond (Kat). He is also survived by other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Valley Funeral Home (2211 N Richmond St, Appleton, WI 54911). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
